How does a "Perfect Susanoo" look?

So I am pretty confuse as to how Madara's Perfect Susanoo looks.
Is the jutsu activated to become a Susanoo itself? Or just have a stronger Susanoo?
(By "becoming Susanoo itself" I mean how Ichigo from Bleach becomes Getsuga himself using Final Getsuga Tenshou.)

I think you just focus more Chakra into the Susano'o, to increase the armor around it.
