[Question] How do you increase your rep power?

I'm just wondering how can you increase your rep power. Does it depend on your post count or the rep you have. Can someone tell me I'd like to know.

It depends on the rep points you give.
Meaning, if you give rep to many people your rep power will increase. That's just like offering rep to everyone.
So I am not that keen in increasing my rep power. I rather give rep to posts that really count than to give it away just like that.

umm yah it depends on your post count, 1000 posts= 1 rep 10000 posts=10, also ur join date and ur rep points... im to lazy

You have people +rep you by saying things they like to hear or appeals to them or if someone just does it for fun

Nope, not how much you have, how much you give.
Look at where it is placed and you'll understand.
Because for example, at your rep. points there's no such thing as rep. power. Just at the rep. points you give.

Isn't it how much ya can give? If so, ya need rep avaible to do it...and therefore need someone to rep ya....right?

when people + rep you you earn rep depending on the person you may get more rep go to user pc and it will tell you your total rep points you can increase this by posting alot or plus reping people or getting plus reped if someone - rep you then your rep points go down you can also tell by looking at your green bar

You go to User CP and at the bottom where it says Latest Reputation Given right next to it in brackets it says Reputation power:

Every 1000 posts you get 1.
Every 1000 rep points you get 1.
Every year registered you get 1.

So for me:

32,404 = 32
7113 = 7
07-08-2010 = 2

1+32+7+2=42 rep power || 21 negative rep power
negative rep power = rep power/2
