How do you guys feel about talking being a free action?

It detracts a lot from shows that take it overboard like JoJo's Bizarre Adventure for me. I didn't bother watching Jojo after these two dudes managed to exchange paragraphs during one of the first episodes.

I don’t mind some talking mid fight, it’s when they take us out in the middle of a fight to give us multiple episodes of some crammed in back story that bugs me
