Title. Tell me how do you feel about your job. Let's have a discussion about different jobs and career fields and the benefits that these jobs to provide. I am currently a college student, and I want to go into retail banking. I don't need college for it, but I'm getting a Certificate. I want to know more about what I am getting myself into, and set of just being trained by a human resource specialist. Anyway tell me about your job, the opportunities it provides, the benefits it provides, the work life balance, and tell me about the job that you would like to have and how are you would get that job that you want.

It's hard but everyone is really nice. My plan is to study and get a different job eventually but for now it's good to just have something.

It's good to at least be able to support yourself. I currently can't support myself since I'm living with parents going to community college. I can't work and school at the same time because I wouldn't have time to study.

No that thread is about the difficulty of a job. My thread is about the outlook of a job. Sort of like the Bureau of Labor Statistics.

My part time job at a pharmacy doesn't pay for shit, but I love my co-workers and work environment. Everyone is easy going, and there's a sense of authenticity between everyone that you don't experience often nowadays. As for my internship at a botanical garden, it doesn't pay. period. The work environment and experience makes up for it though; I like working in a lab, and getting hands on with the lab equipment that we use, but I don't really like botanical side of things -- I don't see plant biology being useful in my future profession. Plus most of my co-workers there are stuck up and don't seem to enjoy life much, outside from a few supervisors and custodians.

I honestly wish I had a better job, but I'm not too worried about getting a new one since I'm still in school and all.

Could of just ordered a book about it. Researched on your own, instead of wasting your time in whole college course about something you didn't need a degree/certificate for. Is it for bragging rights?

Why do people feel the need to be "spoon fed" information by some institution.

Now you don't have time to work. People are so high pompous arsed about being in college.

Ahh, the "I'm creating my own issues and talking about it" lifestyle.

As a Security Guard, it kinda scares me because one of our fellow officers died and some others have been shot at. We have to break up fights and protect city-wide events. The hours are hard too. I work 15-17 hour nights

It's gonna be worse if I join the Secret Service. That's if I pass training.

I don't have one, hopefully I will when I'm 18 so I can live alone. I have no idea how to even find one though

Online job sites like Snagajob, Indeed, and Careerbuilder. Then you have the local newspaper which has job postings.
