-How does it make you feel? Why?
- Do you care? Why or why not?
-Do you think people who burn the flag is evil or just expressing their rights?
-I'm save you guys the trouble and say this : saying "It's illegal to burn the flag." isn't true.Apparently it is protected by the first amendment also see Texas v. Johnson
Also:I'm going to like everyone's comment because I'm thankful for your inputs
I proudly burned many flags of the USA. Every Memorial Day weekend all the tattered and old flags our scout troop had collected were disposed of in the only proper way. Flags have a code of conduct... no flag is flown or carried above the USA flag, it never touches the ground (if it does it is disposed of, etc.) But you are talking about burning a flag in protest.
For those that claim that it is only an inanimate object, no more than any other piece of cloth, would they post a video of themselves burning an effigy of Mohammad? It may not mean that much to you, BUT there are folks out there with strong beliefs and you know this to be true. That's why these hateful acts are committed, to try and outrage these holders of tradition.
Personally it costs me nothing to not create or disrespect an image of Mohammad, so I don't do it. You have to go out of your way to do it, just like you would have to go out of your way to disrespect the American flag, and just like you would have to go out of your way to create hateful signs against the LBGT community, etc etc. All are douche moves, and should be shouted down by every civilized person in America. You are a hypocrite if you would condone any one of these actions and not all of them. If you think these acts are all ok, I might suggest you undergo testing for being a sociopath for your obvious lack of empathy.
Sure, this is America and you have your rights... you have the right to act like a douche... and the rest of us have the right to ridicule you for being a douche and should not hesitate to do so often and loudly.
