How do you connect to the internet with VISTA

OK i installed VISTA everything was working fine but then when i tryed to add new connections it doesnt work it says something about Ethernet Connectivitiy not detected i inserted my Mother board DVD but the autorun didnt work besause it probably doesnt support vista so i manually looked for the files in the DVD and found the Ethernet exe file but i dont know if it was the correct exe file or do i need a version specialy made for VISTA can anyone help with this btw i am now using XP and i formated my HDD 2 times and I will thank yor threads

That's what you get for installing vista. XP is better, get the windows 7 when it comes out. Don't get vista, it sucks.

Don't ask me, I spent four paragraphs writing what would have been a better decision but apparently it wasn't good enough.
LOL iunderstand but it was good it had tons of multimedia options unlike XP but i would still use it but internet is more important

Cmon anyone i need to install it again how have you all connected to the internet do i have to download the Ethernet driver before i install Vista ?????????? and what version

Are you running Vista on a laptop atm?
NO

did you install the drivers for the network cards from the cd?
I inserted the cd but it didnt suport it so the autorun didnt work i had to manually browse the CD to look for Ethernet but there were 7 folders of Ethernet idk if i installed the correct version do i have to install a special version of Ethernet that suports Vista and my Motherboard or modem and wTF is Ethernet ???

@BAN_KAI I wish i could help, but the best i can say is to go back to XP. I am using Vista atm and I can't say i love them.
XP became so boring
