[Question] how do we know Sabo is the one that is alive?

i dont read one piece... i just wanna know cuz my friend didn't believe me when i told him Sabo is alive according to NB people?

We haven't seen his face or anything, but judging from Luffy's reaction it MUST be him. Either that or Oda is throwing everyone off, which is bad writing. I don't think Oda would do something like that.

Also, Sabu's death was never confirmed, Dragon was at the site of attack, and both events add up to make this character who appeared Sabu, your friend, sadly, is a complete idiot.

I'm definently sure it can't be ace, since he had his torso completely severed and his internal organs were completely ruptured and fried, telling luffy his final words nonetheless, and moreover shanks and marco were last seen giving ace and whitebeard a proper burial. (Well in the anime, not sure if it was shown in the manga) If hes still alive after that, I'd be really surprised.

panel where Luffy says that I never thought he is alive, while crying, an indication that someone really close to him is there.As well as the three bowls at that bottom panel indication of three friends(Luffy, Ace and Sabo).
2. His speeches from the entire time, his clothes, and that panel in which he says I will get Ace's fruit for Luffy all of them point in that direction.
And btw it isn't Ace, Ace is dead, entire Post-war arc doesn't make any sense for me.

4. After last page of 731 if you still don't know it's Sabo chances are you read an extremely bad translation, you don't really pay enough attention to the chapters or you just plainly don't read OP

2. The Fact Luffy was an emotional wreck even after leaving stating that he thought he was dead
3. Luffy trusting whoever this person is to go after the Mera Mera Fruit
4. This person stating that they need to inherit Ace's will
5. This person stating that he thought Luffy would punch him, and Koala hinting that that may have happened due to his lack of appearance at Marineford
4. Sabo and Dragon meeting prior to his death
5. Dragon brining someone back who was very injured, around the same time of Sabo's death [makes no.4 even more significant]
6. This person being a member of the revolutionary army

That person also mentioned "we must inherit his will", by getting the mera mera. I don't think Ace would refer to himself as "that person".
Luffy mentioned "I always thought he was dead". Ace died two years ago.
And most important, if Ace was alive his devil fruit wouldn't have reappeared.
Unless he's Gandalf and got resurrected.
