Another person that reminds me of myself back in highschool. Back when i was an edgy self-proclaimed atheist who said a lot of stupid things like this. I was so disrespectful. I thought catholics and Christians were just brainwashing opportunistics. That the bible was man made nonsense. And there couldn't have been a god because if there was i would've seen him and he wouldn't have allowed us to suffer. And it took me until now to realize how ignorant i was.
I used to argue that they were annoying, and yes while a lot of them only tried to reach out to me and i closed my doors on their faces, some of them actually were. As they would judge me for wearing metal shirts or having long hair etc. But there's always rotten apples and i wasn't any better than them by lashing at them and their religion. I was childish. I should've known better. Now everywhere i look i see mostly people talking trash about Christianity and barely any annoying Christians, so i have to ask myself, whose being the obnoxious idiot?
Oh you can't see "god", therefore not real. Ok, you can't see an infinite amount of things, guess they don't exist either? Keep in mind i'm not trying to say god exists, i'm making a point. Oh it's just man made, it's a man made book, why should anyone belive that. Everything else is man made too, guess we shouldn't belive anything at all? Also, ever heard the phrase don't judge a book by its cover? I read the bible recently, not as a religious person but as anyone would read any other book. Because how can i say anything about something i've never read? Well, i used to, a lot. And quite frankly in my opinion i did find a lot of interesting philosophy behind it wich reflected with our current society.
Regardless, wether you choose to belive in something or not, there's no need to be an ass about it. You want people to keep religion to themselves then you should keep your anti-religious comments to yourself as well.
