How do people come to the conclusion

That Tobirama loses to Mei but Minato (alive) doesn't?. Last time I checked Minato is a somewhat improved version of Tobirama (if you're talking about FTG), almost all his attacks are close range, his best offensive feats is Rasengan, and it's not even long range, so if he's going to do anything to hurt Mei, wouldn't he need to get close to her and get caught in her acid mist?, because this is the same logic people use when debating Tobirama and Mei,even though that technique will be less effective in a open field and can easily be evaded?. at least Tobirama has Edo Tensei and he can Suiton (which can be used as a long range technique eg Suiton Suidanha). People claim that his water techniques are ''mediocre'' when compared to Mei's but they forget that in Part1 even has a watered down Edo, he was still able to use decent water scale techniques.

Anyway, that's besides the point, I feel like both Minato and Tobirama could take on and defeat Mei, but whenever I see match ups, I see stuff like Mei > Tobirama, but Minato takes her low diff.. What kind of retarded logic is that?

Lets see here. We know mei is good with long ranged water, acid, and lava justu....but that's about it right?

-I can see minato beating her as his Flying Thunder god allows him to close the distance in an instant for a quick defeat. He can always space time barrier her acid mist and lava away as well as her suiton.

-Tobirama not only has large scale suiton, but flying thunder god, edo tensei, and Genjutsu (Bringiner of Darkness)

I really don't see Mei winning against either of them.

Not saying Mei is weak. She is the Mizukage and a Suiton expert. For the purposes of this thread are her against other Kage level opponents (Minato and Tobirama) Kishi always makes the girls weaker than the boys. Not her fault. She could be powerful but we won't know that because the girls are always downplayed in the NV. Sad truth I know but there you have it.

Tobirama has 1 suiton jutsu and it shits on anything mei has ever done with suiton, this right here.

this 1 jutsu trumps almost all other suiton jutsu's thus far in terms of offense, with this, tobirama could 1 shot large summons such as gamabunta, and could easily take out 2 or 3 ppl with it in 1 go. even worse is he can also create shadow clones and use this tech in combination with ftg, mei has nothing on him in terms of suiton. she'd more than likely lose this fight.

I don't really know why you always want to compare Tobirama to Minato in every post/thread you make but to answer your question, i don't know as well. Personally i put Tobirama above Mei, but he is weaker than Minato. I don't really want to start a comparison, but all i know is that while Tobirama may have FTG, his one terribly lacks mobility without the use of prep marked. The time it takes for him to prepare them in battle already gives an opening for his opponents to kill him if they can(talking mostly about impulsive type of guys like Raikage or Sasuke). Besides this, in terms of base speed alone, Minato is faster than him. His shunshin covers great distances in an instant like we've again seen in latest chapter

he forgot about the suiton tobirama displayed against hiruzen.

But that feat he showed alone craps on everything mei has to offer.

yeah i really think tobirama and minato are one of the most evenly matched

but minato is slightly better due to feats and base speed.

Tobirama base speed has no feats that could compare.

maybe because they're quite similar justu wise?

it doesn't take long to actually make shadow clones and touch (tag) them, or have them place tags. While he's fighting himself, also nothing suggests he cannot react to the Raikage's speed, Sasuke reacted to it so why not?. Oh and let's not forget the fact that Minato was in KCM which greatly enhances ur speed, but yes you're right, Minato is actually faster than Tobirama
