The reason I say Naruto is the hero is because he controlled Kurama to the extent he did.

Kurama didn't care and wouldn't have helped at all if Naruto didn't get through to him. In retrospect it was Naruto who helped Kurama who helped everyone else, including his other self.

They all worked together and are equally relevant to saving everyone. However, the reason why I say Naruto is because he started this progression of saving everyone. Kurama wasn't always good and Naruto cracked that guy, which is the reason he's the hero.

Kurama was the one coming up with plans and saving the main character's ass. It was Kurama protecting the alliance. Kurama even saved his own ass.

Hell.. The Sage of Six Paths gave Naruto half of his power and he STILL called upon Kurama.
