How do Kamui users know where to go?

This is something that has been bugging me for a while. How does obito or kakashi know where there are going while they teleport? Especially if it is a location they have never been to. I mean FTG is straight forward, the markings posses the users chakra and the user can somehow sense each and every marking And can teleport to the marking. For kamui no such markings are used.

I decided to think of a possible way a kamui user may be able to teleport.

- One way maybe that the kamui user intrinsically knows every single possible location. As in they innately know the directions and how to get anywhere or to anyone as soon as they awaken kamui( obito's case) or master it ( kakashi's case) .

What do you guys think? Do you have any other ideas? Or do you agree with me?

Is that so? But how come he can't sense when someone is in the kamui dimension? For example he didn't know naruto's clone was in the dimension

Lol I've always wondered this as well. I suppose somehow he just knows.....like it's as easy as blinking. Almost as if it's involuntary in knowing....

I think I was wrong, I was reading over the Kamui wiki page, and nothing like that was said.

The same way that Kakashi knew to call his doujutsu Kamui, even though he learned how to use it years after Obito used and named the technique.
