Just asking, in that case I have nothing I can say to you in regards to not believing in Christianity. So, why not try reading the other books to get a different perspective. Though I'm biased, I think you should read the Qur'an.

I find it logical, and it makes the most sense when I hear what scholars say because they look for deeper in meanings. YouTube some of them, it's well worth the time, regardless if you believe or not

alright ill give it a shot

are you trying to tell me there is a way to actually believe in god without doubting in the end when you die and dont get to meet him? first it clearly stated in the religion to actually inherit god kingdom you have to love your god with all your hearts and follow all commandments, its not something you can fake, the way i was thinking about if the god doesn't actually exist i will have nothing to lose in the end, but the way it has to actually work is you have to be certain he exists 100 percent, meaning you have to die brainwashed to think he exists, and if he doesnt, then i just death was unprepared for the doubt of his existence.
I agree. Im personally an Agnostic atheist and I don't get how some people can be Gnostic theists or atheists. Theres no logic behind being 100% sure god exists or 100% sure he doesn't since he cant be proven or disproven.

Never saw it. Never wanted to. Looks stupid. Very sure it was BS. Doesn't mean Religion is wrong, just means the movie was portraying it incorrectly. HOWEVER, I have never read the books or seen the movie, so I am not one to judge or ask. I have absolutely NO credible information regarding this specifically

there is a difference between christianity and religion, religion is described as a whole while christianity is a sub topic of a religion.

By your answer, I guess the movie was a Christian movie. I don't know anything about Christianity either. So again, I can't say anything. Sorry.

almost my entire life i was taught by my family and church that the only true salvation is in jesus christ, but at this point i doubt thats is true.

infact that there is zero evidence of god existance and more evidence that earth and universe is much older than some 7 thousands years just by fossils and evidence, even the light in the universe has been traveling for about 13 billion light years and is constanly expanding by each second uncovering more of the universe. also the fact that people have been able to find live bacteria in mars and water, proves that there are other organisms in the universe and we are not alone.

Also why did the bible claimed that the earth was flat in the "Daniel 4:10-11. In Daniel, the king “saw a tree of great height at the centre of the earth...reaching with its top to the sky and visible to the earth's farthest bounds.” Only with a flat earth could tall tree be visible from “the earth's farthest bounds,” — this is impossible on a spherical earth.

the main problem though is how do i believe those facts and stop being brainshed by religion when there is a what if god exists in my thoughts and what if i dont believe in him and then when i die i will be tortured in hell for eternity, just imagining myself in the lake of fire and constantly burning and boiling in hot water and tortured in chambers by demons with abandoned hope and zero way out. just bring chills to myself. what are your opinions on this guys? and how can i set my mind free from those thoughts please help me!!!

Well. I will start with repeating something I posted years ago:

Proof that hell has frozen over

HELL EXPLAINED BY CHEMISTRY STUDENT

Question: Is Hell exothermic (gives off heat) or endothermic (absorbs heat)?

First, we need to know how the mass of Hell is changing in time.

So we need to know the rate at which souls are moving into Hell and the rate at which they are leaving. I think that we can safely assume that once a soul gets to Hell, it will not leave. Therefore, no souls are leaving.

As for how many souls are entering Hell, let's look at the different religions that exist in the world today.

Most of these religions state that if you are not a member of their religion, you will go to Hell. Since there is more than one of these religions and since people do not belong to more than one religion, we can project that all souls go to Hell.

With birth and death rates as they are, we can expect the number of souls in Hell to increase exponentially.

Now, we look at the rate of change of the volume in Hell because Boyle's Law states that in order for the temperature and pressure in Hell to stay the same, the volume of Hell has to expand proportionately as souls are added.

This gives two possibilities:

1. If Hell is expanding at a slower rate than the rate at which souls enter Hell, then the temperature and pressure in Hell will increase until all Hell breaks loose.

2. If Hell is expanding at a rate faster than the increase of souls in Hell, then the temperature and pressure will drop until Hell freezes over.

So which is it?

If we accept the postulate given to me by Teresa during my Freshman year that, "it will be a cold day in Hell before I sleep with you”, and take into account the fact that I slept with her last night, then number two must be true, and thus I am sure that Hell is exothermic and has already frozen over. The corollary of this theory is that since Hell has frozen over, it follows that it is not accepting any more souls and is therefore, extinct...leaving only Heaven thereby proving the existence of a divine being which explains why, last night, Teresa kept shouting "Oh my God."

I think he really has a point the part where I highlighted in red. Not only that since you are Christian you must be familiar about how many denominations are in there. There are some 73 recognized sects in Islam+ the ones like Bahai and Ahamdi etc other groups they do not recognize as Muslims as well. And the list goes on and on .. So in the end there are just too many groups telling others they are not right. Everyone thinks their way is the right way and others are going to get in some trouble so what's the point of worrying about it..

Chances are most of us will be in the same place. ^_^( though for some that may be the definition of hell anyway. :p)

Did... Did... Did you just tell the guy he's going to Hell?

No the hell is frozen over , remember? But I told him whatever that place be he might end up with you nearby. So.. Should it be considered as hell? :p -_^

Besides I believe in Obito's hell- it's nothing but a temp stage and no one is damned to stay in it eternally. People move on when they have done the time to spend the bad karma or when they find the correct path. . :ira:

intellegence and being able to understand the scenes that would normally be alien to them, since they have nothing to do with their kind.

Their thought process is still different to humans. We can choose. Animals are bound by their nature, y'know

Heh, come to peace with the possibility.

Just lead of a life of enduring positivity and try to influence others in positive ways as well as doing everything you can to influence yourself and your surroundings positively.

If you truly do not believe in God or Hell, that's fine. If you follow the above rule and God ends up existing and he sends you to hell for not "spreading the word," then he is unjust, strict, and a bit narcissistic. In other words, he's unpredictable. It also means he has trouble empathizing with the human condition of curiosity and uncertainty. In this case, many people are going to Hell and even religious people have a low chance of going to Heaven. You were doomed from the beginning, don't fear it.

If God is just (and I find this much more likely from a Creator), then don't worship idols and just lead a positive and honest life valuing others alongside yourself. You'll have nothing to actually fear, whether God and Heaven/Hell exist or not. Besides you'll be a good person, and what's more important than that? Lol

Also, if any reader's views conflict with mine, then that is perfectly okay. We're all running on belief here.

What's funny is the Romans and Muslims admit Jesus was real Muslims don't think he was the son of god but a prophet but they do say he was real

As for the brainwash stuff are you catholic Jehovah or Mormon because those 3 are crazy zealots compared to the rest

You have to find your own path mate, anything anyone say would be another washing. Research various ideals and philosophies and find your own conclusion. But be a good man while your do that.

The fear takes a long time to overcome because it is so ingrained at an early age. Others may not feel comfortable talking about it either because of the same fear and you need to accept that. Part of your fear is probably related to the potential for isolation but this is where your approach will be a big determining factor. When you have discussions or debates try not to push folks into a corner. Asking questions so that they can arrive at their own conclusions rather than forcing folks to concede is best. Take solace in understanding the hypocrisy that most folks don't understand how a microwave oven works but somehow believe they know what something they themselves define as infinite and beyond human understanding wants, or the ridiculous notion that God.has put before you a "choice". One choice is to accept the Lord as your savior and obtain everlasting life in paradise and the other to burn for all eternity. Which will it be? Gee, that's a tough one you make them both sound so good... Is that the complexity of a God? Eventually, coming to these conclusions will get you over the fear and as long as your not a Jerk about what others believe you won't have to worry about isolation. I'm equally at home in a church synagogue, mosque, or temple. The depictions statues and images don't evoke feelings of dread in me. I'm respectful of what others believe and am not pushing anyone to believe differently. If others are uncomfortable that's on them. Maybe they should explore why they are uncomfortable?
