- Improve on your running form. How you run is just as important as your speed in my opinion.
- When you run, don't stop. Just keep going but at a lower speed if you get more tired later on. This is to increase endurance as you run.
- Work on acceleration speed more than top speed. I think your coach tells you about this, did he? If he didn't, then do drills such as the wall and running up a hill. There's a couple more like using a medicine ball.
But right now I'm giving you a gist of what you can do.
