I have been to a few kickboxing gyms and 1 boxing gym. The problem i have is that every time I go in them the trainer doesn't really teach he just does a few drills(which I can do at home) and then there is pointless things he "shows" you to do. What I mean is that, he just says do this with your sparring partner and he doesn't even explain where to use it and why it's important. He doesn't even come around to check your form.

Half of the people that I practiced the moves with were girls that SERIOUSLY didn't know how to punch and the other half were boys that thought they could punch but 80% couldn't. The thing is that every place I have been to is treated as a "lose weight" club by most people.

I want to PRACTICE and LEARN to fight not lose weight, how do I find a good boxing Gym that teaches you to fight? Do you have any tips or ideas?

Google up any boxing Gyms near your area and hook em up. Try different areas and see what you like best.

Dunno.

The "girls don't know how to punch and 80% guys don't either" comment is true, lol.

Try a martial art instead.

i never said it is a style. It a mixture of many fighting techniques. Plus a lovely workout too. Not everybody fight fair and square on the street. So it better to learn several shit.

isnt it more of an occupation, for example "bob is an MMA fighter, he knows karate wrestling and muy thai"

i get why you think its a workout, but thats just Americas way of misusing the title to profit from it..for example..come learn MMA at our gym! when really all u get to do is some cardio exercises and basic techniques in order for them to make a buck, excludeing the serious gyms...either way, i wasnt trying to be condescending, my bad, so no need to get defensive

You went to a recreational gym most likely. Search up competitive gyms in your region. I went to one in my province and sparred with a national box champ. Learned a lot and really felt the intensity of high-leveled boxers being in full control, always a few steps ahead
