I would be extremely dissapointed with Madara specifically. Its only natural for Hashirama's character to try to tnj somebody, he's already tried it on Tobirama and will soon attempt it with Sasuke.

Madara had to have been beaten with force, otherwise the belief of him actually dying wouldnt be so strong
