How Didn't Konoha Dominate The 1st Shinobi War?

The 1st Shinobi war confuses me. It started sometime after the villages were founded. Hashirama had died with knowledge of his death being inconclusive. Tobirama had died as well with Hurizen becoming 3rd Hokage.

But one thing that gets me is how Konoha did not dominate the 1st Shinobi War. I mean you had all 4 Noble Clans.

All 4 noble clans and they lost 2 Hokages and had massive casualties on all sides. How could they mess that up?

Hashirama was an idiot for giving each village a Bijuu. If he used the Uzumaki or any acceptable hosts, Konoha would've been unstoppable. The villages would've got shut down if they started a war.

Noble clans was Akimichi Yamanaka Nara Uchiha Senju Hyuga and probably Sarutobi and shima. Uzumaki isn't in Konoha and i doubt Hyuga would do anything seeing as tho in the flashback they was no where to be found during the kyuubi incident.

Hashirama probably died from his healing jutsu. Tobirama is not as strong as he's hyped to be on Hashiramas level.

There were other powerful shinobi from other villages too contest them. Maybe they just had decent competition like its seen every generation :S

Hashirama was never Killed in battle. That his ET was in his younger years was just because of plot . Imagine a old Hashirama fighting in the war . And against Madara. That would suck if he was old .

You do know the uzumaki weren't part of konoha or the 4th noble clan. The 4th noble clan was the akamichi clan
