How did you get into Naruto?

Now that the manga is nearing its end, I'm curious as to what sparked your interest in the manga.

Did you start reading as a young boy/girl all those years ago when it first came out? I know that some of you have been reading for so long that you just can't stop until it's over.

Or were you introduced to it by a friend?


A secondary question is, has the manga influenced you in any way?

Through watching Hunter x Hunter 'cause after I got bored with that I still wanted to watch Gon's actor in something else. I was hooked when Naruto used clones in the very first episode because I thought that was the coolest ability ever.

I've seen it around when I was growing up. I only started reading and watching the episodes and I catched up in a month.
As for the influencing part, naruto's way of never giving up and always moving forward motivates me into being the same way.

my younger siblings bought a DVD of naruto vol 1. first I didn't even care,but whenever I used to get pass infront of screen,its music and action attracted me.
I start read or came to knew about manga in middle of pain arc.

I started out watching the anime, about 1 1/2 years ago. I thought the opening music for the first episode was horrendous, so I decided to keep watching to see if the show was any better than the song. Now Im sitting here refreshing manga panda ever 10 minutes:hyper:

I started the manga back in '06 while I was in 6th grade. I remember seeing the books at Borders (R.I.P), and I absolutely fell in love with not just the idea of Ninja's and the story, but the art (I've been an art hobbyist my whole life). They had been up to volume 9 at that time. I quickly got each one as I was able, and once 10 came out, I had gotten every volume after, as soon as they came out, up until 49, then life got in the way and money had to be used elsewhere.

for me i was randoming youtube and there was this korean game show (X-man) and it was pretty funny & this cute girl was in it named (ahyoomi) so i looked up that name (misspelling it Ayumi) and got (Ayumi Hamasaki) so i looked up that full name and got a (Naruto fanmade MV with her sountrack) so i was like hey this show looks interesting so looked up (Naruto). the show was at around ep47 ish during rock lee vs gaara fight at the time

In sophmore year of high school, I walked into the library and saw my best friend reading Naruto on the computer. Thought it was amusing, he showed me some other mangas telling me that they're interesting to read. I decided to read a chapter and before I knew it, I was 80 some chapters in. That was 7 years ago. I now have over a few hundred mangas that I read or am currently reading.

About 3-4 years ago i had an entire summer month of nothing to do. My younger bros had every season of naruto anime uptil first season of shippuden on dvd. At first i didnt care, until i heard about the show from an old friend. First episode that got me hooked was shippuden, and i remember when after 4-5 episodes hes like dude thats not where the show starts i switched to the original pilot i was like wtf this is awful. Lol anyways somehow i got hooked, when i finished the dvds i went online to stream the rest. Only found out about the manga when the anime ended. Nd yeah, naruto was my first manga.

I came acrossed it like 6 years ago when they did a marathon showing the first 100 episodes. I was bored so I thought what the heck, ill watch an episode or two.. ended up watching it until the naruto vs neji fight. about 2 years after that I got up to date and started following the anime and about a year ago is when I started to read the manga.

I'm not sure how naruto effects me.. I just enjoy the story and love his never give up attitude

I watched the anime on TV in the end of 2007 and it fascinated me. The first episode I came across was the start of the chuunin exams where the Konoha 11 meet at the hall and I got a good look at all the main characters.
