How did YOU get into Naruto?

I overheard a conversation about Naruto, at first I was like anime doesn't seems cool to me... One day, I didn't have much to do and watcehd Naruto 1 to 9, I was addict.

I was forced to watch it by my friends.

I remember first seeing it on Jetix and thought it was utter rubbish/boring. I gave in to peer pressure and eventually started watching online. I remember when they told me I'd eventually have to watch japanese dub with english subtitles - I thought they were insane. Now english dub disgusts me. This was in year 9/ninth grade.

I was 11 years old, so about 5 years ago on Cartoon Network they were having a special for the first 100 episodes of Naruto, and I was super bored so I decided to spend the whole weekend watching them all with my friend Josh. He thought it was kinda lame and pussied out after like the first 50, but I was instantly hooked. From there, I went on to watch the rest of the pre-timeskip series, BUT IT JUST WASN'T ENOUGH, so I watched Shippuden up until like episode 30, where they're just introducing Sai and Yamato, but I still wasn't satisfied! So I looked up the manga, and the rest is history

Actually this thread has been made several times before, but never mind.

I discovered Naruto when I was fifteen. They had translated the manga in Dutch (the third manga to get that "honour") and my mum had bought it for me, thinking I would be interested in it.
I read it and at first I must admit that I was wondering how the hell a hyperactive, orange wearing, idiot could ever be a decent shinobi, but after a few mangas, Naruto grew on me and the storyline attracted me and voila. Naruto is now one of my top favourite mangas.

Seen it on Toonami, one of my friends was watching the first ep when it came out and at first I didn't like it cause I wasn't really into anime/manga back then but ever since then I started getting into reading other mangas,etc.

So Naruto help me discover other anime/manga such as Death Note,Bleach, Dogs,etc

My brother got a Jump Book from the store where different manga series was in it. Naruto was one of it and I enjoyed reading it. When I saw it first time on the TV I got more exciteed and became a fan!

, anyways OT : Back when I had the PS2 , The first game that I got was Naruto : Ultimate Ninja 1 ..and when I played the game I found that the story is cool , so I got interested and I read many chapters online , so ever since that day ..I'm addicted to it .

I actually dont know. My memory is very hazy around that stage. I watched the shitty first series and somehow I had enough patience to make it to the chunnin exams where things really picked up and I became a big Naruto fan.

I just love watching fodders like krillin etc they amaze me. Naruto has the most fodders so I love this show.

Trashed the series until I played "Rise of a Ninja." Then started watching the Anime from the beginning. Now I favor the manga due to it suspense and lack of senseless fillers.

Started in 6th grade I think, Naruto was super popular in my school and everyone was talking about it, and i was already into inuyasha but needed something else to watch so I did and became hooked. I stopped watching the anime after the part in the first series where naruto and sasuke fight at VOTE and then started again when shippuuden started. but i read the manga every week.

I started when i was in 1st grade when my sister was watching it cause her friend told her to so i sat there and watched with her XD Few days later i also started watching Inuyasha (a bit), Bleach and Full Metal Alcemist because it was on before and seemed interesting. I stopped when all the fillers started after the naruto and sasuke fight because they stopped showing it on YTV at night (THEY TOOK AWAY ALL THE ANIME) I started reading it a year or two later when it was in shippuden. Now I know more then my sister but sadly she lost intrest in it after they took it off the TV =(
