How did you find out about Naruto Manga/Anime?

Post here your story how find out about Naruto Manga/Anime and why you like it.​

My story:
In 2010, My friend told me about it, and gave me 1-5 volumes of Naruto Manga, I was very confusing by reading RIGHT to LEFT. Somehow I loved Naruto because of Kakashi. I loved his 1000 years of death, so funny!​

I stated reading it a few chapter before Itachi died so like 2008 or 7.. And yea my bro told me and since it was ahead of the Anime I started reading it

when i was but a small child in the 5th grade, i saw a commercial for a show on toonami. this new show was called Naruto. At first i was skeptical because i was watching anime such as inuyasha and dragon ball z at the time so i didn't know what to expect. i watched the first episode and instantly i was hooked. it had all the right combinations of silly, goofy, serious, and emotional all wrapped into a beautiful package. i watched every episode every saturday for about a year before i discovered the internet. for years i suffered from bullying because of the things i was into, with the isolation and lack of friendship i took to naruto and absorbed the storyline whole. i loved the basis of friendship that kishimoto preached and the hidden morals that naruto represented. it gave me a new outlook on life and saved me from the darkness. that is my story and to this day ive seen every naruto episode and read every naruto chapter.

In 2006, while toonami still aired at 7:00pm on saturdays, there were previews of Naruto, and it looked interesting.

The first time It aired in america, which was 06, is when I watched it. And I remember my cousin being around when it first aired.

Friend showed me. I thought it was extremely gay at first. We played the game a bit and I liked the action bit of it. Then I was like eh, what the hell, so I watched the anime. I watched all of them and was like, that's it? Then I found out there was a manga(I'm slow), and I immediately started reading it. Been hooked ever since! I started on the episode where Sakura is crying and Naruto finally returns!

When the dub first started airing on Cartoon Network/Jetix is when I found out about it.
A few weeks beforehand, my friend had shown me some of the trading cards and the soundtrack, so I decided to start watching it.

I got as far as the Chunin Exams arc before I switched over to the manga.

you guys are so late or maybe just so young. I started reading naruto in feb 2003 in the first american issue of shonen jump. I saw it at blockbuster and bought if for dbz. that was nov 02 naruto wasnt added to the line up till feb 03.

plus i had to wait a month in between chapters, waiting for next months issue.

I found about Naruto through one of my best friends in real life. I remember checking out issue after issue of the manga from my high school's library once I started up on the manga! I was so hooked. xD
