How did Tsukishima fight Byakuya?

I thought Ichigo was the only person able to match Byakuya in speed? How is it that Byakuya goes Bankai and is still unable to catch Tsukishima with his blades?Tsukishima's speed feats didn't look to be anywhere near Ichigo's.


Oh and off topic Byakuya said at the end of the fight that he finally feels the excitement of fighting between life and death. Does this mean that Kenpachi is starting to rub off on him?

Who knows. Maybe that means the Fullbringer's Bringer Light is on par with the Shinigami's Shunpo.


On top of that Tsukishima had complete knowledge of Byakuya's zanpaktou including Bankai. He was exploiting Byakuya's vulnerabilities.
