If you notice, the most OP character of the series, a.k.a TenTen the solo queen is doing something. She got them out.

I Believe, it's the person trapped inside that cannot get out but anyone being able to wield the tool can.

Yea I saw that but after fighting non stop then getting caught in IT they magically have the scrolls and a way to free they're trapped friends as soon as the genjutsu is released. What about the people sealed in it before them? I'm cool with it was just puzzling.
