[Discussion] How did sasuke summon

Something has been bothering me ever since reading chapter naruto 780.

How did sasuke summon his hawk? What surface did he use to use the summoning jutsu? He was in mid-air....unless he can summon it via his arm thingo's. you know like how he touch his forearms and shuriken come flying out.

I dunno, dont go crazy on me just give me a answer. Thanks

It's always been possible to summon things in mid air. Naruto did it the first time he summoned Gamabunta.
