Lee was considered a shinobi with zero talent who worked hard...Sasuke was considered a gifted genius but for that particular fight he worked really hard to obtain that speed...what y'all are forgetting is that his motivation at that time was killing Itachi so that's the formula for Sasuke's results

1. Genius
2. Hard work
3 Revenge/motivation

Sasuke stole Lee's moves and renamed them... that's just sad.
His eyes allowed him to mimic Lee's moves but not his speed....
So is Naruto sad for copying and renaming something he saw someone else do but in a different way too?

From remembering Lee's movements and mimicking 'em, maybe? Though conditioning his body with Kakashi was necessary, so Sasuke didn't reach that speed feat that easily. His a$$ was climbing mountains if I can recall.
Exactly what I was going to point out.

-It only makes sense that Sasuke would eventually gain incredible speed anyway. Itachi was no slouch in the speed department.

Sasuke is fast as hell, shown in the Deidara fight, even Tobi was impressed by his immense speed.

Deidara would have died in the first few seconds if Tobi did not warn him Sasuke was right behind him.

Sasuke only used the sharingan to copy Lee's basic taijutsu forms so that he could replicate them. He had to work to master those forms, but it didnt take nearly as long as Lee did because Sasuke is naturally talented, which allowed him to grasp things much faster than normal. He also had to train his body so that he could physically achieve this speed using the taijutsu forms that he had mastered previously (NOTE: Again, he didn't master taijutsu in general, but was able to replicate Lee's mastery of the forms of taijutsu that Lee uses)

While this training method has its benefits in that Sasuke was able to replicate Lee's great speed within a month, the downside is that he cannot use this speed for nearly as long as Lee can because he doesnt have Lee's physical build and stamina. It requires great dedication to the physical arts to both achieve and maintain this level of speed, an example of what only hard work alone can achieve.
