What is that scan supposed to signify? The process of gaining eyes is removing your own and inputting someone else's.

OT: I always wondered that myself lol. I think it comes down to DNA and genetics and not necessary if the eyes "work" or not

It shows that you don't actually insert the eyes of another, you insert the power of the MS into your own eyes. Basically given you two MS's.

The sharingan and ms result from loss of love. The EMS occurs because a person takes the eyes of their sibling whom they loved. If they didnt love them it probably wouldn't work.

No, you don't.
You only need to physical eye so you can insert the power of the MS into your own eyes. You don't take out your own eyes. If that were the case then Sasuke would have Itachi's eyes not just in his EMS, but also in everyday life when his Sharingan is not activated, but that is clearly not the case.

So, first off, Itachi was never blind in the battle. His vision was BLINDING, but they never went blind. Even in that sense, it is understandable that someone would think "Hey, if you take blind and mix it with blinder, how does that help?" Well, it's simple. Sasuke's optic nerves reacted to Itachi's new eyes. Because of what they saw, and what they were used to, they basically cleaned up his eyes and turned them into an EMS.

Agreed, you cant make it make sense. But NEVER does Kishi write in this story anything remotely like what youre saying. ALl he said was if you replace your eyes with a siblings sharingan you get ems. Thats it. Anything else you want to make up or add to it isnt based in this story.
