How did Sakura become a chuunin?

to become a chuunin you have to go through the chuunin exams, y do you think that Shikamaru asked Naruto what he planned on doing for the chuunin exams at the beginning of Shippuden? Sakura went throught the exams too... maybe with Ino and Chouji considering Shikamaru was no longer on their team...

nope... nobody really knows, but if there was another way to become a chunin why would shikamaru tell naruto he should take the exams to become a chunin?

Shikamaru was promoted via skill. Sakura didn't have a team, and it makes more sense she was promoted this way because she gained skill. Also, this may not apply to every person. Like team Kurenai for example or Guy's team. However, Neji and Lee showed alot of power in th exams. Maybe they were promoted the same way. To support Neji, remember during the finals, they said you didn't have to win to become a chunin? This doesn't effect Sakura, but it kinda supports.

There are actually Jounin Exams, but we haven't seen them as of yet. I'd wager it was given to Neji due to his skill, his eyes, and his discipline as a Shinobi. He's completely capable of leading a team himself at this point.

Probably that's what happenned. for example : Shikamari was promoted. Shakura might have neen just included in his team with ino and cleared the exams with ino etc. or any other combination. After all Not all members are selected as chunin at the same time. So there will always be some way and different combinations.

You're very welcome. Oh, and I'm sure they're are. In times of war they do just promote certain Shinobi who prove themselves to be worthy of promotion. Think about How Kakashi got to be where he is.
