I think that answers the question then perfect time gap because we know neji and shikamaru also go up in rank whilst he's away (and shikamaru starts seeing temari)

that wasnt my question(its already been answered though) I knew that everyone became a chuunin (and some jonin) but Kakashi said you need a team of 3 to compete

yea, ******, i mean sasuke, was 'called' a chunin but techinally still is a genin
naruto is still a genin though he's a FREAKING sage level and should be the 6th hokage.

It's a plot hole from Kishimoto. To be a chunin it was stated that one had to have the capabilities to lead a squad and they must be highly intelligent. Yet with Sakura she has never shown any intelligence in an actual battle before, she just fights on pour heart and that alone isn't enough to make one a chunin otherwise part 1 Naruto would've become one.

Revived thread... But I'll just say my thoughts. If Sakura didn't prove her strength when she tag teamed with Chiyo against Sasori, then I dunno what to tell ya. What she did is not Genin level at all... For the OP, it is the most logical thing she teamed up with Ino and Choji due to them missing Shikamaru and Sakura missing her team mates.

If someone means how did she become a Chunin off strength, that question should go to most K11 members...
