Well, we saw him take it from Nagato, but the eye was probabaly Madara's originally. Madara might've given it to him before his death, or Obito might have taken it after he died.

He got it from Nagato when he killed Konan... Have you not read the manga? That was a huge storyline shift. sorry if that came off as me looking like an ******* but I mean that's a HUGE part of the storyline and I thought everyone (even people who only watch Naruto seeing as it came out already for the anime) would know

Well he had sharingan when he went after Nagatos rinnegan and after he got it he suddenly had rinnegan on left eye so its safe to assume the eye is Nagatos (Madaras originally)

IMO he is talking about left sharngan eye he sacrificed in izanagi while fighting konan... U remember? After loosing that eye, he replaced it with nagato eye.
