How did Madara survive fight with Hashirama?

Iruka survived a bigass shuricken in the back,dat shit should have paralyzed him,i dont see why Madara couldnt survive a stab.
And plot didnt allow Hashirama to check his body,realize that he isnt dead,kill him once again and burry him.

My guess would be some kind of a Genjutsu. Izanagi might be a possibility, but only if the Eien no Mangekyō Sharingan allows the user to use the technique without losing an eye.

Its obvious that its not Izanagi otherwise his dead body would have just disappear. I guess his EMS technique saved his a**​

Read that chapter again. Just before hashi came in front of madara a manga panel focused on madara's eyes. He obviously used a genjutsu on hashi........this could lead a new info btw. Hashi isnt very good at dealing with genjutsu or is it just that ems genjutsu is too powerful?

Hashirama probably left him there thinking he was dead. If it were Genjutsu then everything that happened after that would have just been a Genjutsu, including Madara's stab wound which we know is real.
