how did madara got his rinnigan?

now it's obviously there is just two rinnigans the sages rinnigan

but nagato had them and then obito took them away after nagato's death

so I guess what Im really trying to say is how did madara got his rinnigan?

Madara transformed his ems into rinnegan after obtaining hashirama's cells.

madara got hashi dna(senju dna) and implanted it im him thinking he would get rinnegan.

It wasnt till later when he was on his deathbed dying, that he experiance some unknown trauma that caused him to awaken rinnegan. Then he implanted it in a young kid(nagato) and the hooked himself up to the gedo statue.


That is how he got rinnegan.

1-before SO6P died, he divided his power in half into the two sons. elder son was born with his eyes and powerful chakra, the younger son was born with the life force and body of SO6P.

2-the descendants of the elder son would be the uchiha, and the descendants of younger son were the senju.

3-to obtain the rinnegan, you need to rejoin the half power of the uchiha along with the senju back together giving you access to SO6P's power again.

to awaken the rinnegan, you basically need to possess eternal mangekyou sharingan (EMS) to serve as the inferior eyes and you need the senju to serve as the body to handle the rinnegan's power.

so in a simple way. rinnegan = EMS+senju DNA.

as for nagato. madara implanted his eyes into nagato, because nagato was an uzumaki and this clan was famous for their incredible longevity and life force that are similar to the senju. also nagato's chakra levels allowed him to use the rinnegan very well.
