Limbo has never once been referenced as a clone. Not in the DB and not in the manga. It's a shadow. You can't apply the principles of clones using the abilities of the original to Limbo. It isn't a clone.

Just a simple limbo clone. The limbo clone caught Sasuke in mid air. Sasuke didn't have the rinnegan so he couldn't see nor sense it's presence. Real world objects don't affect limbo so Madara stabbed Sasuke through the limbo clone. Sasuke's location relative to the ground is because of their height difference.

Ok it wasn't a sussano hand nor Limbo restraining him that's foolish, a sussano hand would have completely enveloped sasuke body so his arms would be pressed to his sides with legs dangling and a limbo isn't tall enough to restrain him that high in the air
