How did Kabuto know Haku

Ok so ive been thinking to myself and couldnt really come up with an answer on how Kabuto knew about Haku, like Kakashi when he first saw Zabuza knew it was Zabuza but when he saw Haku regardless of the mask he had no idea they were partners or ever heard of anyone who worked with Zabuza up until he fought the Demon Brothers

Im guessing it was just for the plot because it is really cool that we can see Haku fight again but still, what do u guys think?
