How did kabuto got the corpse of nagato?

I was getting bored so I watched Naruto & suddenly something confused me. When kabuto and tobi 1st met and kabuto asked to join forces with akatsuki he showed us the dead body of nagato but later tobi went to hidden rain and extracted rinnengan from nagato. So is the the corpse of kabuto's nagato fake or what?

I believe my friend that edo tensei doesn't animate the real corpse of the reincarnated it's more like it seals the soul in a sacrifice and gives him the form (Nagato) and its ability using a sample of DNA, so Nagato real body didn't leave the rain village back then till Tobi brought it, and the edo Kabuto showed to Tobi isn't the real Nagato corpse.
