How did Kabuto find Madara's remains?

well, we all heard from Tobi that the real Madara never got killed in his fight agnst Hashirama.. but the thing is, da fact that he was edoed must mean he died at sum point.. where was he, or wat was he doing at da tym of his death..
in fact, how did Kabuto(if he was actually da one) find madara's remains?
or does this hav sumthing related to oro cuming back as madara after he xperimented on him?

there could be lots of reasons, he probably found madaras corpse during the time he was a spy, or he got it from orochimaru since orochimaru had hashiramas DNA he probably had madaras DNA too but im just guessing.
