How did kabuto find Madara and summon him?

Perhaps Orochimaru and/or Kabuto gathered some of Madara's DNA from another location, perhaps the valley of the end? and Kabuto summoned him to find out if he was dead or not?

Orochimaru got the dna of Madara and Kabuto took over after Orochimaru was gone. xD
Edo Tensei requires a living body for sacrifice to be used as the Edo summon's corpse.
In this case I think a Zetsu was used for most of the bodies.
All you need is DNA , you don't need the whole corpse of the person you want to summon using Edo Tensei.

example: Zaku & Kin were used for Hashirama & Tobirama during the fight with Sarutobi the 3rd Hokage. ^_^
Zetsu can fuse with bodies and become 1 with them I guess.
