How did Itachi know about Obito for the uchiha massacre...?

Im curious on how Itachi even knew obito was alive since he was supposed to be behind the scenes... I want to kno your thoughts and opinions on how do u think he knew of obito and his where abouts to seek help for the uchiha massacre... Ok go! Thankyou

Itachi was a 3 year old when obito/tobi joined madara..
I dont think itachi knew who tobi was when he meet him..
when itachi was edo, he referred to Tobi as madara..
