Seriously how did Itachi activate his Susanoo in less than the second it takes for Kirin to pierce a target? If the jutsu is faster than Minato? So how does Minato > Sasuke if he can just activate Susanoo in a split second?

Plot No Jutsu

he didn't. although lightning is significantly slower than the speed of light, it would still reach the ground in maybe 0.001 of a second. and as we saw vs kabuto, neither sasuke nor itachi can activate it that quickly. itachi simply activated susanoo before kirin began travelling towards the ground.

Sasuke stood there and basically told Itachi what was about to happen. Also, Itachi activated Susano'o off-panel and just before Kirin began to move.

Well, it was never confirmed that Kirin could hit the ground as fast as lightning, that was just Zetsu's theory, but I agree, Itachi got help from plot.

Because Itachi has probably the second best reaction time in the series.

That's strange. Always confused me. But thanks for the information. I'll continue to look at that Kabuto fight for reference. Thanks!

He activated it off panel, yeah, but after Kirin hit, Sasuke thought it was over. Do you know why? Because he was looking at Itachi the whole time, so he could aim the Kirin at him. Off panel or not, he didn't activated it until that last split second, or else Sasuke would have known.

Plot No Jutsu is the answer to this whether you like it or not.

Because instead of attacking Sasuke decided to talk about his technique o_O

And if he only talked because he couldn't use it..then Itachi would have had enough time when watching a Giant Lightning Dragon poke its head out before going back up to strike!

What do you mean 'or Sasuke would've known'? What was he going to do? Stop the Jutsu because he saw Itachi activate something? No. He didn't even know what Susano'o was, so he wasn't in the position to be calling the match finished. This is obviously ignoring the fact that when activated, Kirin created an incredible burst of light which would make it impossible to see ahead.

Itachi was looking straight at the light.

Itachi activated it before Sasuke sent the lightning down. Not to hard to understand.
