It wouldn't make sense if he didn't know information on a lot of other jutsu.

Legends of the So6p are passed down, some may be watered down, but at their core still exist fact about the Sage.

Hashirama might have learned about the Sage's jutsu from these legends.

Or maybe Orochimaru had information on it, through Kabuto. And since Orochimaru is now a Zetsu, information can be shared via the earth, like Black Zetsu mentioned.

If you watch when Jiraiya is telling Nagato about the so6p you wonder how the hell does Jiraiya know about it?

Kakashi himself says that he thinks the so6p is just a myth when hes talking to Obito in the land of snow but jiraiya actually believes it?

Jiraiyas a sage, Hashiramas a sage. Thats the best explanation we'll ever get.

Thing is Madara apparently didnt have the Rinnegan when he told Hashirama about this and Hashirama quoted the jutsu word for word "Rinne tensei". Madara probably didnt even know about its abilitys until he was beaten by Hashirama and left the village(because apparently thats when he achieved the Rinnegan).

Plus it's possible that Madara gave him some background when he was talking to him about the tablet and Hashirama looked more into it. It's not surprising he knows of the Rinnegan as he is all powerful, it's only natural that Hashirama would look further into the myth of the Sage after hearing something about it.

True Madara did not have rinnegan back then. but, Madara clearly tells Hashirama about a jutsu in that panel, dividing into yin and yang and creating... sounds similar? like creation of all things technique??? He may have known the jutsu's from reading the tablet, he just needed rinnegan to perform them

If people in jiraiya's era knew about it then theres no way ppl in hashiramas era wouldn't know. Ppl in hashis era are closer to the sages era then jiraiya's era so of course hashi knows.

People are very ignorant the senju and uchiha share the same common ancestor its most likely information was passed through the senju/uzumaki clan. just how the tablet was passed for the uchiha
