How did Hashirama knew Madara came back to life after this fight?

I'm ( and Hashirama is ) talking about Madara between this death in front of Hashirama and his death in front of Obito just before Minato's death , not EDO MADARA , when he says:
"I don't know how Madara could come back to life".

He knows the edo Madara his brother is sensing now is reborned by edo tensei .

Now that you explained yourself a little better I know what you mean. Few things it could be:
A) Bad translation. (Not sure as I can not read Japanese)
B) Disbelief in the fact the Madara has been brought back with EDO. (A state of shock like when someone say "How could he have done that" when all the details are in front of them)
C) He is getting intel somehow.
D) Plot hole.

Madara was revived but not by edo tensei("between this and the other world"someone saved him?) .Or Hashirama is lying.
So they met again not a long time after that fight , a few years after , perhaps.
Madara ( not edo madara ) have the living body of Hashirama.
Hashirama's soul was sealed in a Uzumaki jutsu not a long time after Madara's first death.
Can Madara do that alone?

it can be interpretated that Hashi meant

Hashirama:

"Madara survived me killing him that day" although I was sure he died"
I don't know what power could have restored his life, but apparently he survived his own death by me."
