No, As i hear he lived after uchiha Madara's Battle and he Died Because he Pushed too much chakra at that Battle and He got sick after it!

i think hashirama died while protecting the konoha same thing happen with the other kages like tobirama, sarutobi and minato they all died protecting the konoha. You can also consider danzo and jiraiya as hokage because they were both appointed by the council and they also died for the people of konoha.
Konaha previous hokages died while protecting their village... i think it is the same thing happen to hashirama.

Woah woah woah, don't stick Danzo in with Jiraiya and the kage. He was a chump, and Sasuke killed him like fifty times. As far as I can tell, his only ability was to spam one sharingan technique. He was a selfish prick who used Konoha as an excuse to do whatever he wanted.
Hashirama is too important of a character. He's one of the strongest shinobis and is on the same level as Madara. I doubt the story would just push him off and say he "died". There has to be a secret behind his death.

I want to revitalize this thread because of the recent issues including Madara and Hashirama's history. Namely, I disagree with all y'all. I think there was an oversight and the author didn't take into consideration how in the hell Hashirama would die of anything other than old age. Too bad he died in the war?
Let's look at some statistics: 1 Raikage=10,000 shinobi. 5 kage>1 Raikage. 1 madara=1 Bijuu> 5 kage. Hashirama> kyuubi+madara>several friggin bijuu.
Theory that the Madara battle tuckered the poor sucker out: bupkis, e'erbody gets super jacked using this mofo's cells let alone his chakra. He can heal up right quick. friggen' granddaughter nearly dies and heals up, why wouldn't he?
Theory that Hashirama got teh AIDS: refer to previous logic, goddamn mofo makes people live HELLA long. Hashirama cells= cure to AIDS.
Theory that Hashirama had a whoopsie during battle: statistically speaking, if a mofo can shy away from making a whoopsie against 10,000 shinobi, and then get severely outclassed by some other mofo; good chances are that the latter mofo gonna need hella shinobi to accidental all over his HP bar. I'm talkin' entire 2nd world war against him.
EDIT...I realize that some of my stats are off...Raikage didn't technically die at the hands of 5 kage...but can we agree that one of several hundred Naruto shadow clones is a lesser? Aside that though, most other errors would only make Hashirama look even more unstoppable. e.g. arguing that Madara's recent Susano'o was the real reason we can say he equals a bijuu would lead us to conclude that this was only because of Hashi's cells.

I suspect hashirama died of an illness during the 1st shinobi war because he clearly didn't die of old age also the kinkaku force killed tobirama a squad of 20+ shinobi of skill ness atleast on par with the guardian 12 however even tobirama fails to compare to hashirama even minato the closest large in power with him doesn't stand a chance shit minato is like hashirama and tobirama combined without reaching his full potential. Not to mention hashirama was powerful enough to take on ALL if the tailed beasts gain control of them and just hand them over as a gift like wtf it takes like the entire leaf to hold off an attack of the nine tails that's including hiruzen whose no slouch. Like hashirama is no joke only a few people surpass him
