[Discussion] How did fake Rinnegans work?

I never understood how Nagato and Obito were able to give dead people multiple Rinnegan's.

I know they couldn't really use its full power but its still the Rinnegan!

It was a manifestation of the Outer Path's "Will" ability. The rods implant the will of someone into the target and from their the Rinnegan's power is channeled from the original user. They are nothing but fake or mirrors of the users Rinnegan. This was shown with Pein, as each Pein path had a singular Path as their ability, channeled from Nagato's real Rinnegan and chakra.

the beginning of your post could be right but the latter is not.


Nagato's create the six paths of pein jutsu which obito later followed, jutsu meaning he chose what pein got what tech, he could have easily used one shinobi but the idea and usefulness of 6 vs 1 is better odds when fighting so he spread out the abilities.

This is just one of the OP techniques the Rinnegan has were you can fight the opponent without really being there. The rinnegan is truly OP dojutsu.

Its widely accepted that the sharingan were implants taken from his collection. The Rinnegan were simply copies resulting from the Rinnegan's unique copying and shared vision ability.

The fakes are linked to the original 6 paths of pain = nagoto ... former jinjuriki = obito, but obitos rinnegan is acutely one of madaras original eyes

The Rinnegan's weren't physical copies or anything, Nagato was the 6 paths of pain. Those 12 eyes were actually just his own two eyes, if that makes any sense to you.

Nagato wasn't the 6 paths, he is the 7 paths of pain... able to control life & death

What? Nagato is ALL the paths of pain, which is why they all had his eyes.

and everyone here talking about control being the reason for the fake rinnegans in edotesei are wrong other than in obitos case. edo nagato and edo madara both had fake rinnegans with seemingly most of the abilities of rinnegan and the person controlling them didnt have a rinnegan or even a sharingan. the only logical explanation for this is that they had them while they were alive so edo tensei made them. even though kabuto made madara young i doubt he had the power to make a fake rinnegan, madara probably had that before kabuto made him young, especially since kabuto took madara using rinnegan on the battlefield for the first time as meaning his and oros hypothesis is correct, if he had given madara the rinnegan then he wouldve already known that.

It's one of the abilities of a rinnengan yielder.

They don't have Rinnegan for real, it just show that they are contoled by Rinnegan, same as how Kyuubi got Sharinga, after being controled by Madara/Obito.
