About 20 minutes ago, while watching T.V., I got a Emergency Broadcast system warning about a flash flood in the central county where I live. I don't actually live in the central part, more like the western area but sill. I never experienced one before so I'm just wondering is it something like this:

They wouldn't give it it's own name if it wasn't to be taken lightly. Take precautions, just to be safe.

Flash(instant)flood.... a shitload of water flooding everything and dragging even cars and trees at times in it's wake....

nah... don't worry...

Seriously.... seek for higher ground if there's a real treat...

Depends on where you live. Usually though they can be pretty bad. If you're caught unawares you could drown easily.

Get to higher ground.

Well considering:

Where I live is circled in red and the location of the f.f. is circled in blue

Just throw some chakra on your feet and you'll be fine.

it can be pretty bad. If you live by a low lying area, or by water, then it would be advised to get to higher ground. If you live on the side of a hill, then you should be ok.

While we live high enough, that flashfloods, only affect some places we drive, we also live by a creek(like i can look out the window and see it right now). There have been more than 3 times in the last decade, that the creek has gotten withing 20 feet of entering our crawl space(1 time, it got so high that it was about 2 yards from entering)(that time we got to live on a island for a little bit :D )

However where i live, it is hilly terrain so we dont get a ton of flash floods. But we do get floods.

Please pm me and remind me, and ill take a picture tommorow showing the creeks normal height and then draw the lines showing just how big a threat floods can be.
