It's obvious that there's more to being a Pirate King than just strength and power. Moria couldn't do it with a huge fleet, Crocodile couldn't do it with an organization of secret bounty hunters, Do Flamingo couldn't do it with the whole Underground to support him.
Whatever a Pirate King is, is more than power.

Because Luffy and an army of weirdo's is enough to stop Doflamingo apparently at this point. He has no chance to become PK.

Sidenote: For everyone raping Manshelly/Mansherry's name in this thread with a botched MS translation. The name is obviously written/pronounced as Mon Cherie.
Ma Cherie* It's female

It's Mansherry. The romanized name is Mansheri. It's a reference to Mon Cherie.

It's hardly up to you to decide. Besides, I thought it was MS doing a bad translation job. Now it's Oda's ineptness at French? Which is it, buddy boy?
Well it's up to anyone who speaks more than 3 words french to decide that Oda's level of French is equal to googletranslate.jp

A lot of mangaka use cringe worthy foreign languages for items/attacks/places whatever. Kubo and Bleach with the Spanish probably take the cake. But Oda and French is also not a great marriage. Besides Sanji's attacks Robin's aren't great either. But since very few people in Japan can speak decent English let alone French and Spanish it doesn't matter a ****.

But it's a different story on a international forum where people like me can say, that's inaccurate.

And i'm not reading every issue of OP raw in Japanese and comparing it to the translation. So I don't know if it's bad translation or Oda. But since I haven't read a decent fast translation in years it's not very strange to give Oda the benefit of doubt.

Make you should spend some more time not getting banned, buddy boy.

Maybe because he doesn't actually give a crap about becoming pirate king?

He already knows what one piece is or whatever is on raftel. He probably knows about the void century as well. So what's the point of him going to raftel lol? And he probably is busy running the kingdom that his ancestors used to rule...

I think his goal was too destroy the world nobles or something like that wasn't it? Not becoming the pirate king

Whatever. Oda wants to be Mansherry, and what do you know.

It actually is Mansherry. Deal with it.

Not surprising that an uneducated turd like yourself decides to follow the french spelling of a Japanese guy. What's next are you going to convince me that the Arabic in Magi is done well ?

You must have gotten infraction points for severe stupidity because you got banned so fast after that last post.

Or maybe Oda wanted the name to be Mansherry, not literally Mon Cherie? I don't see why you're so bent on it being Mon Cherie when Oda clearly made the name Mansherry.

Also, nice ad hominem. Typical of you to resort to insults when something irrefutable is presented against you.

if you mean your horrible crooked knowledge of the French language as something irrefutable I agree. Otherwise go cry about it, literally no one cares.

At the end of the day I know I'm right even if Oda wrote it like Mansherry,

I'm out, have fun debating this with yourself.

You and I both know you're not out. You're gonna keep responding, as always.

Yes, you're right that the word is correctly spelled Mon Cherie. You're wrong that Oda was trying to spell Mon Cherie, or that the name is supposed to be Mon Cherie. It's supposed to be Mansherry, so he spelled it Mansherry. Why does this get you so upset?

Using that logic, Google's name is actually Googol since the website got its name because of a spelling error.

I don't know what you guys are discussing about, but i speak french perfectly fine and i see nothing wrong in the name of Sanji's attacks, at least not the translated version(which is a mix of french and english) unless you mean error in the japanese raw text. certainly doesn't seem to be a mistake on the Manshery name either(not "Mon chérie" or something else)

Ca ne semble pas être le cas en tous cas

What is the point of this discussion? All three of you, including Oda, are wrong. Mon refers to a male pronoun while Ma refers to a feminine. Cherie, is of course, cherry, or "sweet". If you refer to the name of a girl, it would be Ma Cherie, Macherie. Google translate gives you the default reference, which is male, despite being grammatically wrong. Oda made it Mancherie/Manshelly. It still stems from french, it's still perceptible. Cook is right by saying Oda doesn't know french very well, it's true, most mangakas don't, and his examples were on point. Riker was right in saying what matters is Oda's version, not the correct version etymologically speaking. And Oda was right because he is the freakin creator, he does whatever he pleases and I'm damn proud reading his awesome creation.

Let's all just be friends. :)

What is so hard to understand that Oda was not going for Mon Cherie but he chose to name her Mansherry? He isn't wrong because he made up the freakin' word specifically to name Mansherry it.

Of course Oda doesn't know french perfectly, but i see nothing wrong in the name of Sanji's attacks(at least not in the translated version)

He just generally mix french with English in his attacks(the first word generally being in french). For example

1- Epaule Shoot, with "Epaule" meaning shoulder in english - basically Sanji "shoots" the opponent on the shoulder's part

2- Poitrine Shoot, with "Poitrine" meaning chest in english - basically Sanji "shoots" the opponent on the chest

Sanji name his attacks mostly depending on the area where he decides to strike

Stop with this ridiculous logic. DD already negged someone like Jozu him and Vergo would holy stomp Marco. WB gets ganged raped by the rest.
Jozu wasn't a first mate

So you're saying that even Vergo would neg a man more or less on par with the Admirals even though he got pwned by Law whom has been neg diffed by Doflamingo a few times, whilst Doffy shits bricks when seeing Fujitora TEST his powers... KK

Never said Jozu was a first mate. I said him and Vergo together clearly. He fought with Kizaru for a brief min so he's admiral level i quit. Fujitora abilities are far more destructive than anything Marco has to offer that ABC logic is going to cut it here.
