It would be a nice way to make them relevant to the current power-scale. They still have to settle their story in some way.

Think about it. Hagoromo created Ninshuu and Hamura probably created Ninjutsu

Orochimaru is obsessed with Ninjutsu and managed to decipher the Uchiha tablet without doujutsu. Could it be he possessed some foreknowledge of it?

Also it was said that the white snake signified rebirth.

Rebirth is synonymous with reincarnation. So it could have been an allusion to spiritual rebirth of Orochimaru/Hamura.

I just posted a thread wondering if the jman would be the sages reincarnation... which would make oro his brothers probs. It makes sense. Jman neglected sasuke because he was a genius and chose naruto to be the finder of peace(see part 1 sannin fight) he shared a lot of ideals that the sage had. It truly does make sense
