How could Orochimaru use his arms against Itachi?

"lol im pounding out the questions i had piled up". So Oro lost use of his arms, but when he had sprang from Sasuke's CurseMark during SasukeVsItachi he had use of them even weilding that sword. But when Sasuke brought Oro back on purpose through the same method Oro had to get use of his arms back. Just curious if any1 noticed.

lol then ran him through!. Man im dissapointed we never got to see Oro battle more. 3rd Hokage fight was dope but Oro himself wasnt too involved.

I mean he was holding the blade.And i remember a scene where he was showering(lol ya ya) and his arms were bloody and rotting.I understand his body can be renewed sort of but it doesnt seem like he should of been able to even hold that blade. He seemed confident that he could take Itachi, as if he had use of his arms.

Hiruzen cut the chakras in his arms so he'll not longer be able to use ninjutsu specifically. That decayed his old body because of death reaper seal but that doesn't take away his capability of using his arm to carry things or move altogether. Orochimaru used his arms to shed skin in the v4 naruto fight.

I suppose your right. Kishi should have cleared that up a little. Like had Kabuto explain exactly whats happening to his body.

His use was always very limited at a minimum but the newer the body perhaps the more he could do. So since his flesh was fresh at that moment, perhaps it allowed him to pick up the blade. The concept was muddied up by Kishi a few times so I think it's easily possible he forgot totally about limiting his arms. If so it's just another plot hole to add to the list.

The ability to use his arms for Ninjutsu was restricted, not the actual movement of the arms themselves.

Of course over time because they lack a soul they decay, but ultimately Oro can still move them.

Yeah it was the chakra points in his arms that were destroyed, he was able to use them as arms just not for jutsu. In his eight branches form he was technically a giant snake and created limbs as he pleased allowing him to use them as arms. He did this again when he was reborn, to cut his stomach open to release the death seal and allow himself to use jutsu again completely.
