How could Naruto use Shadow clones when in KM?

I recall when Naruto could get a part of Kyubbi's chakra, Hachibi told him not to use shadow clones otherwise Kyubbi will sap all his chakra and he will die. But we saw that he used not one but too many shadow clones after killing some Zetsu and deployed them to different parts of battlefield. So what was that?? Am I missing sth here?

no your not. The kyuubi could take over Naruto if he wanted, but at that point Naruto didn't care since his friends were getting hurt. Then afterward when the kyuubi realized what could happen if Obito got his way I believe they made some kind of truce, maybe for life or maybe for just the war. Can't recall the chapter though.

well, at first kurama was taking back chakra from naruto, but when madara was summoned he stopped doing so. the danger with doing clones in km is that kurama takes back chakra from naruto as naruto takes kyuubi chakra, and the process is greatly sped up if naruto makes clones and thus uses up kyuubi chakra more quickly. ie the kyuubi can get naruto's chakra to zero while naruto is using kyuubi chakra instead of his own. with kurama helping naruto the only danger left was the normal one of naruto's chakra going to zero by expending all himself.
