In VS debates, speedblitz is a very common term that is thrown around a lot. I was just wondering how often it actually occurred in the manga against named characters (aka not literal fodder). I'm not including obvious surprise attacks, try to limit the number of outside factors if possible. Now of course, part of the reason behind this is that the manga needs to be kept interesting. Still, I believe that the speed/skill gap between characters must be much higher than most believe before a speed blitz is truly possible.

The first couple blitz examples that come to my mind are:

What are others?

I'm not sure if the Tsunade example counts as a speedblitz, simply because Shizune was not expecting the attack. She didn't really know what was coming/have her self prepared for combat.

OT: There aren't really many examples because the speed gap has to be massive. Massive enough for the opponent to not be able to at least react (even if they still get hit). 90% of the time you see it in a VS thread, it isn't applicable.

I'm kinda on the fence about that... I think it should have been obvious to prepare for an attack after their dialogue. Though she did seem a bit surprised (Shizune: "Eh?")

That was more a display of fear (esp given the expression on her face) at Tsunade turning her attention towards her. I don't think she was expecting a shunshin at that very moment. This is why finding examples of clear cut speed blitzes are difficult lol

Yeah most likely not. That distance looks around 2m anyways, far shorter than most scenarios. Do you know other instances of potential speed blitzes in the manga?

I truly believe this to be a speedblitz. Sasuke should be considerably faster, and the guy was prepared. I used the gif instead of the panel because it puts things into better perspective (the same exact thing happened in the manga which is cannon).

this guy made no physical or mental response, which I believe is a true speed blitz. It was over before he knew what happened. If he had lived to tell the tale he wouldn't have been able to say anything except the last thing he remembered was the enemy ninja standing in front of him lmao.

Not common at all. Most of the times they happen it's between people of two completely different tiers. I can't think of any notable fight in the Manga where someone was actually blitzed except for Naruto blitzing Kaguya.
