How come my avatar isn't a gif please help

That happened to me as well a few weeks ago, I suggest you post this in the questions and suggestions section so a mod or admin can see if it's a technical problem

Try the other way of applying it. So, if you tried uploading through NB, try externally and vice-versa.

Oh, and it likely had to do with because it was resized through NB......

It's cause ur pic is too big so NB resize only the first frame.

Resize it to 150x200 urself and it will work
