How come Madara died of old age while Onoki hasn't?

I mean Madara once he lost his connection to the Gedo Mazo Madara instantly died, how come Onoki hasn't died of old age?

How come Madara didn't use Preta Path to return his youth? Nagato while in Edo Tensei was able to regain his youth look before he did Gedo Mazo, why not Madara. Madara could of ordered Zetsu to bring many shinobi to absorb their chakra.

Heck would Madara absorbing Gedo Mazo restore his youth.
