How come dark Kurama wasn't evil

Yin Kurama should technically have been the "good" Kurama but he was pretty sinister and full of hatred during the earlier parts of the series whilst contained within Naruto. You'd assume the "dark" version of him would be even more sinister and uncooperative, especially since it was stuck in Minato this whole time and had no experience seeing Naruto change his enemies.

But yet he decides to cooperate with the good guys in just seconds? I can't imagine the "good" Kurama from part 1 being that reasonable even in a desperate situation.

On a side note, did the 2 Kurama's fuse back into one? Or are there still 2 different Kurama's inside Naruto?

Yin and Yang does not equate to "good and evil". The Kyuubi is not an inherently hateful creature, so even if one half is, the other half, which had been dead for around 17 years prior to its return with Minato, cannot be expected to be hateful either. Especially since Naruto's half was thoroughly convinced that humanity was no longer the deceitful wretch that it was long ago.

Except Yin Kurama was brought out directly in front of the true Madara, quite probably the only thing Kurama ever feared, and wanted to do it's utmost to kill him.

I don´t remember the manga ever stating that one half is "good" and one "evil" at all. I think you just assumed that unwittingly because there are two of them and one is of a darker colour, usually meaning he´s the bad one.
