Strong world was actually written by Oda.
Z was overseen by him.

So I was wondering how canon they were?

Hmmm, I would actually say Strong World is 100% canon regarding Shiki and the fact that he fought against the Pirate King, but none of the other stuff should be.

Film Z, dunno, haven't seen it yet.

I think Strong World is completely canon.

I know Film Z isn't.

Strong World is completely canon, Film Z was overseen be Oda so it doesn't contradict the story, due to the time frame (after Fishman Island), it probably isn't.

well considering that SW was actually written by Oda it should be mostly canon or at the very least thats how it would have happened in reality if those circumstances were to actually occur

z isn't really

Strong World was elongated animation of the manga chapter about Edd war...

Z don't seem to be cannon IMO...

Both aren't canon. The plot's history, yes, but the movie; no.
If you remove the time and location taken placed in the movie, it would be canon.

But, I'd rather think they are canon.

Strong World

- History regarding Shiki.

Z

- Former admiral introduction.
- Kuzan canon appearance.
- Seventh unknown warlord mentioned in the movie.
- Sakazuki unofficial time-skip appearance.
There are more than that but I'm too lazy to mention it all.
